    Hi @Nicpic

As Gran Canaria (and the rest of Spain) is included in iD Mobile's standard inclusive roaming destinations. You can use your regular UK allowances of minutes, texts, and up to 30GB of your data at no extra cost.

Have you ensured that you have Roaming set up on your phone and account:-

There is a fair use policy with regards to Roaming:-

Another thing to be aware of is if you are visiting an area in Gran Canaria that is on the coast then you may inadvertently connect to a maritime satellite without realising it. These are the charges for doing so:-

    Hi @Nicpic,

Thanks for getting in touch, and I’m sorry to hear your roaming isn’t working after arriving in Gran Canaria. We completely understand how frustrating this can be when travelling.

To use roaming successfully in Spain/Gran Canaria, your phone should ideally be connected to either Yoigo or Movistar, as these are the preferred roaming partner networks for iD Mobile.

Please try the following steps on your device:

    • Make sure Data Roaming is switched ON in your phone settings
    • Turn Airplane Mode ON for 30 seconds, then OFF again
    • Restart your phone completely
    • Manually select the network instead of leaving it on Automatic

To manually select the network (both Android & iPhone):

    • Go to Settings
    • Open Mobile Network / Cellular / Connections
    • Select Network Operators
    • Turn Automatic OFF
    • Wait for available networks to appear
    • Try connecting to Yoigo first, or Movistar if Yoigo does not work

We’d also recommend performing a network reset if the issue continues:

    iPhone:

    • Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings

    Android:

    • Settings > General Management/System > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Please note this will remove saved WiFi and Bluetooth connections.

Once completed, restart the device again and test the connection.

We hope this gets your roaming working properly as quickly as possible so that you can enjoy your holiday!

    Regards,
