I am in New Zealand and it does not work. This is despite the website catergorically saying it will work and there is no need to phone to set it up. This has caused unimaginable difficulties. Will somebody please resolve this now… please

Hi @Sunray,

Can you confirm that your cap is increased so that you can be charged for usage?

You’ll need to connect to Spark or NZ Communications manually.

Hi, is there a way to upgrade the plan to have data use included in NZ? I’m heading there soon and would rather not get a local SIM of I can get a reasonable deal with IDm. thanks

Sadly @Andreas Mayer any use over in NZ is chargeable, as the only destinations that have free to use allowances are within iD’s free to roam destinations - like in the EU

Also, in case you’re thinking, any add ons purchased on your account (if you have the ability) are only for use in the UK.

Assuming the prices posted above are still current, buying a SIM over there can work out cheaper.

Obviously if you can latch on to WiFi in NZ you would retain some functionality of your phone - like FB, WhatsApp etc but voice calls and sms texts using your SIM/number would still be chargeable.

Hey there @Andreas Mayer, unfortunately, roaming in New Zealand will cost out of contract charges, and this cannot be changed:

We do not offer free roaming outside the EU countries included in our EU roaming package, our apologies.

Thanks,

Tyler
