Hi [user=11161]Jjjjjjessssica[/user], [user=4402]Hikari[/user] If you text abroad from the UK, this is classed as 'International' usage and is chargeable (That includes if you text a UK number in one of our Inclusive Roaming countries). Whereas If you're abroad and using your phone, that's classed as 'Roaming'. Hi @4467, If you go down the ‘Change my plan’ route on the iD Mobile app, you’ll only be shown 30-day rolling plans, as you’re now out of your 24 month contract, and can end your plan whenever you’d like. You also have the ability to change your plan every 30-days should you like to. If you go down the ‘Upgrade’ route, you’ll be able to either choose a new Handset plan (24 months) or a SIM Only plan (30-day rolling) as @Kevin mentioned above. Due to COVID-19 our Contact Centre is now closed – We have a few agents available on Webchat as some of the agents are working from home, however, from what I hear, they’re having a few Wi-Fi issues out there in South Africa. Hi @kat , Are you trying to move your number over to iD or cancel your iD plan? In order to keep your number, you’ll need to transfer it to a network. Unfortunately, you can’t transfer a number already on the iD Mobile network, to another iD SIM, it’ll have to be transferred to another network, then you can move it back to iD Mobile at a later date. Hi @Neogers, Sorry to hear about the issues you’re facing, getting your iD Mobile SIM up and running. Here’s a link to the information on how to end your iD Mobile plan. Both the PAC and STAC route, will require you to have a SIM from another network ready for your to transfer over to, but in the long run this may save you money as your iD plan will disconnect as soon as you’ve switched over to the other network. If you’re still within your returns period (30-days) if you purchased from iD Mobile direct, or 14 days if you purchased from Carphone Warehouse, then email and they’ll assist you in processing your return. Hi @Keith0706, Welcome to the iD Community, and sorry to hear of the issues you’re having with your new SIM. Did you process an upgrade or Plan Change? Have you tried turning your phone off, and removing your SIM card, then inserting it again, and seeing if it connected to the network? Sometimes the SIM just needs a bit of a reboot when you process a change on it. Thanks, Nikhil

Hi @pif , Welcome to the iD Community! As @natalijameralin mentioned, getting registered on the iD Mobile app or My Account online, is the best way you can control usage. When you first purchase an iD Mobile plan, you’ll be asked to select a cap during the checkout process. This will be the Bill Cap amount until you change it (on the app or online). If you allow them access to the app or online account, then they will have the ability to change the Bill Cap, so i’d suggest you have the app installed, so you can keep an eye on the usage. You can install it on any iOS or Android device, regardless of what network the phone is operating on. You’ll also have the ability to set a few other restrictions on the accounts, such as setting an ‘Adult content’ bar and a ‘Premium bar’, these are features that ensure your child will stay safe when using their iD account, as well as not ring-up any unexpected charges. Hi @alicehnom , The easiest way for your friend to switch their number over to iD Mobile is by filling the details out on this page. No need to contact us, simply, click the link and fill out the details, once they’ve recieved their SIM. Hi @Keith0706 , After they processed your upgrade, did you receive a new SIM in the post? If so, did you pop it in your phone? You’ll need to activate it before you can use it. You can activate your new SIM in the app, by going to the ‘My Services’ page and selecting ‘Activate my SIM’ then entering the details on the screen, If you didn’t swap your SIM out, I just wanted to confirm if you’ve got signal bars appear on your phone? Its usually on the top of your screen, either on the left- or right-hand side. Thanks, Nikhil

Hi @rex, Rather than upgrading, you can simply change your plan to a 30-day SIM in the app, it’s really quick and usually takes a few hours, before your new plan is live. You can find out how to change your plan here. Once you’re out of your 24-month contract, there won’t be a fee to change your plan, however your first bill after you process your change may look a bit different than usual. If you’ve already paid for your old plan, then you process a plan change, we’ll be sure to credit you for the overpayment, and this will appear on your next bill. So, you don’t have to do it on the day your contact ends, as we’ll credit the difference, but if you’re changing your plan and not upgrading, do, do it after your contract ends. Once you’ve changed your plan to a 30 day SIM, you can change your plan once every 30 days, so it’s worth keeping an eye on what’s available for you to change to. Hope this helps. Thanks, Nikhil
