Changed your plan or upgraded? Your next bill may look a little different. Here’s why.

How we calculate your bill.

We bill your monthly plan in advance.

If you change your plan or upgrade partway through your billing month, you’ll have already paid for your old plan.

To make sure you only pay for the days you’ve used, we’ll:

  • Credit back the unused days of your old plan.
  • Charge you for the days you’ve used your new plan.
  • Add these changes to your next bill.

Your next bill may be higher or lower than normal, depending on the cost of your new plan.

What happens to my allowances?

When you change your plan or upgrade:

  • You’ll keep the allowances from your old plan until the end of your billing month.
  • You’ll also get a pro-rata allowance from your new plan.
  • Your new allowance will start when your plan change or upgrade starts.

Please note: Data rollover won’t apply for the billing month you change your plan. You’ll be eligible for data rollover again from your next billing month.

Example: changing your plan mid-month.

Please note: This is an example bill. Your bill may look different.

Let’s say your bill date is the 18th of each month.

  • On 18th October, you’re billed for your plan from 18th October to 17th November.
  • On 31st October, you change you plan or upgrade (you'll get a pro-rata allowance for your new plan that kicks in immediately).

On your next bill, dated 18th November, you’ll see:

  • A credit for the unused days of your old plan, from 31st October to 17th November.
  • A charge for your new plan covering the same dates (31st October to 17th November).
  • Your new monthly plan charge in advance, from 18th November to 17th December.
  • Any out-of-plan charges, such as international calls.

From your following bill onwards, your billing will return to normal.
