Just relocated from the US to UK. Bought a SIM (because I had to buy the phone outright as didn’t have much UK credit) so I’m only on a monthly contract, but things have been so awful, right from the beginning.
I’m on an iPhone and I still have my US one, with my US number. I did a data transfer (as is recommended when purchasing a new iPhone).
Now I get texts on both phones, but I can’t send SMS from my new phone; I can only text other people on iPhones.
I also can’t send images.
I also can’t call foreign numbers (which is annoying, as my business is in the States!)
AND, when I try and download the ID Mobile app, it says it’s not available in my location… Which is Warwickshire.
Obviously nobody works at ID Mobile, I had the most infuriatingly pointless experience with that chatbot, but if there’s an actual customer who knows how to navigate this nonsense, and/or can recommend a better platform I can switch carriers to, please help. I just want my phone to work. Is that too much to ask?
