activation and transfer date for new ID mobile eSim

I have bought a new eSIM from ID Mobile and have been provided with a QR code for it now. However I have stipulated a transfer date of my existing number from EE later this month so I can wait for my current billing month with EE to end. Can I to wait to activate my ID mobile eSIM till the date my existing phone number ports over from EE? ie. Does the eSIM QR stay valid for the next few weeks while I close out my EE contract?

    Hi there ​@ballt, you can activate the eSIM whenever suits you. If you activate it before the switching date, you can use the iD Mobile phone number in the mean-time if you wish to do so.

     

    Whether activated or not however, you’ll be charged for the line-rental from the date your order was dispatched.
