Google Pixel 10 Pro Upgrade: Physical Sim Compatible or eSim only?

Hi there - I have received a new Google Pixel 10 Pro as an upgrade. However, when setting up the phone, it said that it the sim from my current phone (Samsung A54) was not compatible. 

Please confirm if my current physical sim card is not compatible with the Google Pixel 10 Pro? I don’t believe I was made aware of this. 

If so, is the only option an eSim? And if so, how do I set this up?

I would prefer to keep a physical sim card if possible.

You can request an eSIM via the iD Mobile app.

    Thanks Paul. Would prefer not to be eSim only. I’ve ordered a new physical sim, although still slightly unsure the reason for the issue and also, now realise I am unsure if the new physical sim will work in an older phone (i.e., if I have to use the old Samsung for whatever reason, will the new sim be compatible).

    Would anyone from iD be able to answer whether the new sim will remain compatible with my old phone?
