Issue regarding switching phone numbers between providers


I have a strange issue. I got a new phone with a new provider (iD mobile) and my phone number changed (let's call this phone number "number B"), I sent PAC to my old provider (Three) to get my number changed back to my initial phone number from before I got a new phone ("number A"). I have messaged two people since my phone number was supposed to change but when I message them they see the number B, and when they message number A - which I was supposed to have again - I don't receive the message. However, I have received messages from my bank and college who only have number A. 

I have no idea what's happening, will this fix itself, or is there a different answer?

If your port date is today it can take upto 10pm to fully complete. Please keep switching phone off/on during this time.

I’d recommend the above from ​@MZone, there may be some settings in your device changing your number.
