My partner purchased an iphone 15 pro to give to me for christmas.
It was purchased from ebay a couple of months ago as new and we had tested the phone to check to see if it was working ok and if my sim would work in it. All was good so we packed it up.
Yesterday when I received the phone the network would not connect on looking in the settings network provider lock says no sim restrictions, but network says not available and when i press that it says phone not allowed.
I cant understand why when we got the phone it was working but now it is not.
Please help.

@Pajarob Hi I've just read your post what you need to do is contact the person you bought it from ! Because you do find a lot of scammers that's why I would never buy a phone like that from a selling site !
You say when you 1st got the phone a couple of months back the sim worked OK in the phone ! But a couple months later the phones not accepting the sim!
now I'm not saying this is the case but there could be a chance the person you bought it from sold it to you then blocked the phone by saying they'd lost it or had it stolen to claim on the insurance (which has been known to happen in the past) my advice to you is take the phone to a apple store & get them to check the imei no. to find out if the phone is now blacklisted if it is contact eBay & the police about the seller
I have the exact same issue with my step daughters phone, apparently it's a common issue but the suggestions to correct it yourself aren't working. I look forward to reading ID's response. Hopefully it's an easy fix for us both, having a disappointed teenager on Christmas day was no fun.
