I had confirmation that phone number has switched over after going live with ID mobile with the requested pac number. It seems that one can ring my old phone number but I can’t seem to pick the call and when messaging back one can see only the ID phone number. It has been almost 14 days. My previous provide has confirmed 14 days ago that it was switched over and I am no longer with them

That can and does happen when you put the new SIM into the phone before the port has completed.

Ideally you should leave the old providers SIM in the phone and wait for that to go dead. Then after that time put the new SIM (with your old ported number) into the phone, but we're too keen and do this too soon, hence why the phone registers the number allocated on the card and not the one we wanted.

But those links should have hopefully fixed the wrong number being retained on the phone.

The other thing to try is to eject the SIM, power the phone off, switch it back on and allow it to fully boot and then try putting the card back in.

Hey there @Lilly Sakayam, welcome to Community and iD!

When you go into phone settings, is your correct, ported in phone number showing?

Thanks,

Tyler

Thanks Tyler for your reply. I have checked and my correct (old) number is showing on the settings. I think it's when I am texting or calling out it displays the ID number supplied with this phone and not my old number as it suppose to

Sorry, just to clarify I can receive the calls and can make outgoing calls and text and then correct number is showing on my phone settings and on my ID mobile account. However, with outgoing calls or texts others see my ID mobile number displayed and not my old number as it suppose to
