Hi 👋 I got my number transferred from my old network to id mobile I had a text saying that my number is transferred & on my phone it shows my number I had transfered over I.e in the status & info bit also on the id app but I just sent a text message & it shows the number that id mobile gave me can anyone tell me why pls ?.

@andewhite  HI 👋 My mate came to see me earlier & sorted it for me I turned the rcs off like you suggested but it still didnt work after that ! when my mate had a look he told me the rcs was on but I know I turned it off ! 

My mate said it should be OK but just to keep my eye on it ! So a big thank you to you as you was right ! 

Lol just 1 thing how did you know I had a samsung device ???🤔

@andewhite  I've tried that but with no success I've looked on my samsung account I've sorted my Google account & in the phone itself it's got the phone number that's been transferred over but still not working properly aa it coming up with number I got with the phone

Okay ​@Simoak, sounds like the Google RCS servers are refusing to recognise your Samsung device is now linked to another mobile number. 

You could just turn OFF the RCS “Chat features” option in Google Messages, and then wait 8-9 days before turning RCS “Chat features” ON again.

Hopefully by then the Google RCS servers might recognise your device is linked to a different mobile number.

Hi ​@Simoak,

Have you tried turning the phone off for a few minutes, restarting and resetting your network settings?
