I am unable to make or receive calls, when doing so there is no ringing and message network busy pops up, when others are calling me the phone rings out and goes to voicemail. I don't get notifications for voice mail to to say I've had missed calls.

I am still able to send and receive text messages provided there is WiFi internet available.

I have followed the steps on the help pages but still nothing.

My phone is 4g compatable being a balckview  wave 6c

This problem has occured in the last 2days

Help please, do I need a new SIM card? Or is there something else

Have you tried switching the phone off/on again? Switching WiFi calling on/off?

Have you enabled 4G calling or VoLTE?

Does your phone appear on this iD approved handsets list, @Phb?

If not, some iD network services may not work properly.

Hi @Phb

As your handset is not on the ‘Approved’ list for use with iD Mobile’s 4G (VoLTE) network then it probably won’t work if the 3G signal has recently been turned off in your area, and that seems to be what has happened.
https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/coverage

This is indicated by the fact that you can still send/receive texts and use data.

Even though you say ‘My phone is 4g compatable’, that may be so but unless you have VoLTE connected it won’t work on ANY network.
4G is just the label given to the 4th Generation of network but the type of network that is actually used for ‘4G’ is VoLTE (Voice over LTE).

To turn on VoLTE (Voice over LTE) on your Blackview Wave 6C, navigate to Settings > Connections > Mobile Network > Network Mode and ensure that 4G/LTE is selected, or that VoLTE is enabled if there's a specific VoLTE toggle

Good luck x

Using a phone on the approved list is optional, @Subadushane - however, doing so means some iD network services may not work properly.

Sounds like you’ve got an iPhone, and most iPhone models are on the iD approved list.

Good luck!

Hi @Phb

As suggested above your device is not officially supported so we cannot guarantee our SIM card should work inside it, sorry. It may still be worth trying a replacement SIM card to see if this helps.

Hi @Subadushane

You’re free to try whatever device you’d like with your iD Mobile SIM card, however we cannot guarantee that usage of the SIM in unapproved devices would work at all.

As @andewhite mentions you’re on an iPhone, and most iPhones if not all since we’ve been around are on this list.

Have you looked at the iD approved list, @Subadushane?

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is on the approved list.

Hi @Subadushane

Can you still send/receive text messages and use your data?
Have you checked to see that VoLTE is enable on your phone?
https://mobilevikings.be/en/setup/apple-iphone-16-pro/device/activate-volte/p5_d27247_t17927?srsltid=AfmBOopS_Gbf-3UNXLV6BY3J_AqW7Gy0sUOabPjincFwoeNJFNKXvIvM

As your phone is supported for use on the VoLTE (4G) iD Mobile network then everything should work.

You could also try requesting a replacement SIM as this could be the problem.
Please be aware that your account will be put on hold (you will be unable to use that number) until the new SIM has been activated.

There are a few different ways to get a replacement SIM. Here’s everything you need to know:

How do I get a replacement SIM?

If your SIM card doesn't fit your phone, or it's been lost or stolen, you’ll need a replacement. To get a replacement SIM card, you can:

  • Visit any Currys store.

Find your nearest store and head to the ‘Mobile’ section. One of our helpful Tech Experts will issue you a replacement SIM card.

  • Chat to us.

Our Live Chat team are able to issue you a replacement SIM card, which will be sent in the post to the account holder’s address.

Once you receive your replacement SIM card, you’ll need to activate it. Check out the steps in the article below:

Good luck x

Hi @Subadushane

Thank you for confirming your handset, this is on the approved handset list.

Can you please take a look at the settings in your phone to make sure the number is listed correctly?

This will need to be +447 and not 07. You can check this by going to Settings - My Apps - Phone - My Number.

Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks,

Natalie
