wrong number showing when I text

I have searched the forum, and acted on advice with no success.

I used a PAC to change number.

When I text the original number ( the number I don't want) shows, when I call it's fine.

My phone receives calls fine.

I have tried resetting.

How do I talk to ID mobile about this ? When it happened to my daughter ( Vodafone) she has to be sent a new SIM card out.

Hi there @gjennison

If you wouldn’t mind, could you have a quick read of this topic as it discusses both iPhone and Android in detail?

And then update us here with what phone you’re using and if any of the suggested steps for your phone have been tried by yourself?

But if they, and it does sound like you already tried,  didn’t solve this and you still can’t get it to work it would be quicker to obtain a replacement by popping into Currys and simply ask them for a replacement. If this is something you don’t want to do then you can request one via live chat.

I will copy what fixed this for someone that I helped out, after they had exhausted all other solutions

If you have then (having sorted a friend of a friend of someone I don’t know the other day) we turned chat off, got them to pop to Currys to ask for a replacement SIM, activated this one and turned chat back on and it only went and blooming worked.

iD’s Live Chat team are available 9am - 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am - 6pm Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holidays.

You can access Live Chat here: www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat.

Done that, no good. I'll have to do the Currys option.

I’d turn off the chat, get the replacement SIM, then still using the original SIM go into your account and activate the NEW SIM. From there you can either wait until the original SIM ‘dies’ or simply pop the new SIM in then (I did the latter the other day). Then within 30 minutes (it states 30 mins but mine was quicker) your new SIM should be working. Bear in mind if you put the new SIM in as soon as you activate it you will have no service until you get a text. At this point I’d check to make sure your correct number is showing and then turn the chat back on. You may need to restart at this point.
