Hi there @liannehattersley

This could be a difficult one as its in his name. Is the iD account in his name too? If it then the links below might be a method to change the email address to yours. If you’re still in contract then he might be chased for ending the contract early.

When iD staff see your post they might be able to assist via private message.

However, if the account is set to your email address then technically you should be able to request a PAC as the code is sent to the phone number on the account.

But once you have the PAC you should be able to move that number to another provider on a PAYG in your name. Then start your own contract with iD and use another PAC from that provider and move your number back to your new iD account.

Now I could be totally wrong so I’d wait for further advice. But it should be possible based on these:

Hi @liannehattersley

If the contract is in their name they are the legal holder of it and the number on it, it would be up to them what happens with it.

Whether that be it is cancelled, continued or left unpaid, sorry about this.

Tom

I’m also in the same situation, but she’s paying the bill. I just rather have my name off of it. Everything is in my name contract and the account is my email think really made a big mistake here

When did you take the contract out @Dani p?

As everything is in your name, and if you want your number you’d be better off requesting a PAC and move your number to another provider, then consider the option and cancel the contract. From there you and your ex would have to sort out any fees due on the account.

Or if you didn’t want to potentially want the risk of any early leaving fees, see if iD can move the billing over to you. You already said the contract and account are in your name.

Hi @Dani p

Unfortunately there wouldn’t be a way to transfer the ownership to someone else, it is fully your contract, your number, your responsibility while it’s in your name.

If you have an arrangement with someone else that they pay the bills and you let them use it that’s between you and them, it is still officially your responsibility.
