Hi,
I’m looking to buy the new Google Pixel Watch 4 with cellular, according to previous forum posts (1, 2, 3) because iD Mobile is an MVNO it does not support cellular watches. However, according to Google’s website list of 4G LTE Supported Carriers (linked from the purchase page, under “Choose Connectivity”) it lists “iDmobile (Wi-Fi)” as supporting the Pixel Watch 4.
My questions:
- Can I get an authoritative answer from an employee about whether iD Mobile does support cellular on the Pixel Watch 4? Secondly if it does, an official article should be updated/posted, as this iD Mobile is by a wide margin the best deal there is for cellular connectivity.
- What does the (Wi-Fi) in brackets actually mean in this context? To be clear, it wouldn’t be listed if the meaning was just that the watch supported WiFi, that’s a given.
