Similar question, I already have a ID mobile SIM only contract/number and bought a new phone on contract with ID mobile via car phone warehouse but I couldn't port over my existing number using a PAC code because they are both with the same network provider. I want to keep my old number also!?

Hi @vanstrap

Thank you for sharing, however I am terribly sorry as the system does not allow us to port internally. You can however transfer from a different network to our network or transfer from our network to a different network. The only way to keep your number with iD mobile is to do an upgrade from your old contract which will convert to a new one keeping your old number.

This is mentioned on our iD Community website and the links are below:

Ok thanks. Could I port my old number to another provider, then port it back to ID mobile once it's gone live?

Hi @vanstrap

Kindly note that you can port your number to another network provider and then request to port it back to iD Mobile once it has gone live. However, please be aware that this is not guaranteed, as the success of any port depends on the other provider and the porting process being completed correctly. However, we recommend upgrading your existing plan with iD Mobile.

Thank you,

ID mobile didn't have the upgrade deal I wanted, so that's not an option. But I will try the double port, either it works or it doesn't. Either way, I'll still be an ID mobile customer! Thank you kindly for your help, very much appreciated
