voicemail on iphone

Why does voicemail not drop to my iphone and appear there like it did when i was on o2? Now i have to call it and mess about with all that.

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the voicemail service. 

Can you please confirm, are you not receiving notifications when you have a voicemail?

 

We would recommend checking that your Voicemail settings are correct. Information on this can be found here

Also, please ensure your mobile number is showing correctly in your handset settings. You can check this by selecting Settings/Phone/My Number. 

The number will need to start with +44 and not 0.

No, i get the voicemail text alerts, but if you look here, you’ll see that my voicemails to thus number would appear on the phone as named and logged messages, now i have to call a mailbox and wait through the system reading out the number for every message.. i just wanted to ask why it’s different, is it because it was o2 before and it’s a network thing? Or have i missed something when setting up new phone?

Unfortunately I wouldn’t have an answer as to why it’s different, just that it is, to access voicemail services we’d recommend calling the voicemail number.
