Phone not ringing when rung.

Just activated a sim. All good. When phone is rung the ringing phone can hear the ring ring sound through the earpiece but the phone being rung (the phone with the id mobile sim)  does not make a sound.  Have run a check and the result is network or sim error. Any ideas?

This is likely due to the 3G turn off that began rolling out recently. You can check if this is the case in your area below:

If you have one of the phones from the below list, then 4G VOLTE and Wi-Fi calling should be able to be selected and work, and calls should still work:

upgrade/get a new phone I'm afraid to receive calls. Texts and data should continue to work either way.

Hi Tyler

It's my dad's phone and it is a Motorola g7 power. Have looked on the compatibility list and it's supposed to be compatible.
