"In the upcoming year, I resolve to cultivate a resilient mindset, embracing challenges as opportunities for growth. I commit to fostering meaningful connections, nurturing relationships that bring joy and support. Health takes precedence, as I prioritize regular exercise and nourishing my body with wholesome foods. Mindful living becomes a cornerstone, integrating daily moments of gratitude and reflection. Creativity finds its space, allowing self-expression to flourish. Additionally, I pledge to contribute positively to my community, promoting kindness and empathy. This resolution encapsulates a holistic approach to well-being, ensuring a transformative journey towards becoming the best version of myself in the year ahead." 😊 It's the year of the dragon 2024 the year for good luck.

My New Year resolution is to be in touch more with my friends and family. Because of my disability, I haven't been able to  see my friends like I used to be. So this year I'm going to make the most of my abilities and try to meet my friends and family more often because life is too short and the only people that matters in this world, besides health, are friends and family.

We all need something to focus on

To spend more time with my family and live in the moment

It’s a bit obvious and boring, but it’s to lose weight but also to find some time for myself….

This year, I want to put myself first more, reduce my stress levels and be a happier, more rested mummy for my son!

Get fitter and spend more time with loved ones

🌟 Hello, Amazing Community! 🌟

As we step into this brand new year, let's embark on a journey together towards a healthier, happier, and more rejuvenated version of ourselves. 🎉✨ This year, let's make our resolution all about embracing the transformative power of BETTER SLEEP! 😴💤

🌙 New Year, Better Sleep: 🌙

In 2024, let's prioritize our well-being by focusing on the cornerstone of good health—quality sleep! Here are a few tips and resolutions to help us achieve that elusive restful night:

  1. Set a Consistent Sleep Schedule: 🕰️ Establish a regular bedtime routine to regulate your body's internal clock. Consistency is key!

  2. Create a Relaxing Bedtime Ritual: 🛀 Incorporate calming activities like reading, gentle stretching, or meditation before bedtime to signal to your body that it's time to unwind.

  3. Optimize Your Sleep Environment: 🌜 Ensure your bedroom is a sleep haven. Keep it cool, dark, and quiet. Invest in comfortable bedding and a supportive mattress.

  4. Limit Screen Time Before Bed: 📱 Reduce exposure to screens at least an hour before bedtime. The blue light emitted can interfere with the production of the sleep hormone melatonin.

  5. Mindful Eating Habits: 🍽️ Be mindful of what and when you eat. Avoid heavy meals close to bedtime and limit caffeine intake in the evening.

  6. Stay Active During the Day: 🏃‍♀️ Regular physical activity can contribute to better sleep. Just be sure to finish exercising a few hours before bedtime.

  7. Manage Stress: 🧘‍♂️ Incorporate stress-reducing activities into your routine, such as deep breathing exercises, mindfulness, or journaling.

  8. Prioritize Sleep Hygiene: 🚿 Maintain good sleep hygiene by keeping your sleep space clean and clutter-free.

Let's embark on this journey together, supporting and encouraging one another to make 2024 the year of rejuvenation through better sleep! Share your tips, struggles, and victories on this thread. We're here to cheer each other on and create a community committed to well-rested and thriving lives.

Wishing everyone sweet dreams and a year filled with the joy of restorative sleep! 🌙💤✨

My new years resolution is to contribute more of my time to the youth club that's in my neighborhood as I semi retired just before Christmas.and I would like to help the youngsters not to get in trouble but to enjoy there youth.

At my age I need to check out everything they everyday I do walking I'd like to check the heart rate so if you hand if I could win this thank you very much

Prioritise health. Be kinder to myself and others. Make art. Buy more records.

As we step into 2024, it's time once again to reflect on the year ahead. What are your aspirations for this year? Which new skills are you excited to learn? How will you carve out time for what truly matters?

These are common questions with no one-size-fits-all answers. However, if you've set ambitious resolutions, one key ingredient you'll need is motivation.

This January let's shake things up. Instead of rehashing the usual top resolutions, we're offering some fresh New Year inspiration to jumpstart your journey to bigger achievements.

1. Prioritise your health.

Remember the adage: health is wealth. And we're not just talking about signing up for a gym membership; it's about nurturing both your physical and mental well-being.

Your goals for 2024 may vary, but the energy to pursue them often springs from a healthy state of mind and body. Dedicate daily time for activities that clear your mind and reduce stress. This could be yoga, meditation, a morning run, or a gym session.

The secret to consistency? Enjoy the process. Cook and savour the healthy meals you love. Choose activities that thrill you over monotonous treadmill sessions. The hardest part is starting, but once you establish a routine, self-care becomes incredibly fulfilling and equips you to tackle any challenges on your path.

2. Manage your finances wisely.

Financial health is a perennial goal. Achieving financial stability doesn't have to be daunting. There are simple steps you can take to stay on top of your expenses, grow your savings, and allocate funds for your dreams. Today's money management apps are more sophisticated than ever.

Consider this: how often do our purchases total a round number? Rarely. Modern banking apps can round up each payment to the nearest dollar, funnelling the extra into a savings pot for your big plans, be it a dream vacation or reducing monthly bills. Besides apps, setting a budget is a proactive step towards financial wellness.

You don't need a complete lifestyle overhaul to stretch your dollar further. For more tips, check out our 2024 Guide to Saving Money.

3. Make plans to realise your dreams.

What's that long-held dream you've yet to chase? 2024 could be the year to turn it into reality. Whether it's writing a novel, mastering a new language, learning an instrument, or excelling in a sport, the possibilities are endless. Break down your big dream into smaller, manageable goals to make it achievable and satisfying.

Need help tracking your progress? Apps like Strides on the App Store are excellent for setting and monitoring goals in various ways, including milestone markers to keep you motivated.

4. Make time for your loved ones.

Balancing work and home life can be challenging, but it's crucial to stay connected with family and friends. These relationships enrich our lives far more than work or digital entertainment. Regularly check in with your loved ones through calls, texts, or in-person visits.

Plan activities together, both offline and online. Share a meal, join a fitness class, or enjoy a theatre show. For long-distance relationships, tools like Teleparty can sync your movie-watching experiences. The key is to spend quality time doing what you love with those you cherish.

5. Unplug from Your Devices

It might seem counter-intuitive coming from a phone network, but there are times when disconnecting is beneficial. Whether it's to focus on sleep, creative projects, or simply enjoying life's moments, stepping away from screens can be refreshing.

Both iPhone and Android devices offer digital wellbeing features to assist you. iPhone users can set up downtime under Settings > Screen Time, while Android users can explore focus mode and bedtime mode under Settings > Digital Wellbeing. These tools help you manage screen time and improve your overall digital health.

As we embrace 2024, let these ideas inspire you to make the most of the year ahead. Remember, the journey is as important as the destination. Taking breaks from screens and prioritising our mental and physical well-being can lead to increased productivity and happiness in our daily lives. By utilising the digital wellbeing features on our smartphones, we can take control of our screen time and create a healthier balance between technology and real-life experiences. Let's make 2024 a year of self-care and personal growth where we prioritise our well-being and make the most of every moment.

I'm going to focus on my own mental wellbeing and take time doing more things I want to do, not what I think others would want me to do

My New Year resolution was to change jobs after 19 years in Education. I took the decision to follow a potential dream last year and this came into being during Christmas. I started as a Full time Foster Parent in January and today was my first foster child's day at school and my first January return to school, not being an educator!

My new years resolution is to lose weight and feel healthier

Yes. To finally do all those things we planned for the house when we bought it 10years ago!!!

Oh and get back on the treadmill after a very lazy 3weeks over Christmas.

My goal is to try and cycle to work for more than 80% of the year.

My new year is to begin jogging again and the gym after having knee surgery time to get fit again. Oh and career progression

To keep my mind happy, which just means getting out and walking in nature as much as possible.

I am making a long term New Year’s resolution in 2024. I am committing to telling all of my children and grandchildren I am proud of them, hoping to boost their self-confidence and self-esteem. I hope in turn this will become a healthy habit for my future.
