    travelliing to UAE

    Hi, I’ve arrived in Dubai today and turned my phone on and received a message 30 seconds later saying I’ve used all my data allowance and I can see I’ve been charged £45 extra on my next bill. I did nothing apart from turn my phone on and then activate airplane mode. How I can get these charges refunded. Or how do I lodge a complaint? Thanks

    Traveled fro UK to Morocco - Strange charges

    Hello I travelled to Morocco on Friday, arrived in Marrakesh and quickly discovered that my data roaming didn’t cover. I received the standard text at 18.41 informing me that I’ve started using chargeable services etc etc (my bad). Then almost 30 seconds later I received a text that I’ve now used 80% of my credit limit. Then almost instantly I’d used 100% of my £45 data roaming cap. I then received another text telling me I’d used 80%… Three text messages within a minute at a cost of £45. Impressive. In the meantime I’d been in Morocco for less than 5 minutes. I was still sat in the plane. I then bought an add-on. Can anyone explain what happened in those few minutes and if I can expect this expected charge to be reduced? Thanks

    My daughter is travelling to Canada for a week Australia for a month Hawaii and Thailand what would be the best way forward so she is covered in all countries or some of the countries without getting an extortionate bill on her return going for three months?. We need to contact her at all points and for her to be able to contact us in case something goes wrong advice welcome please

    Switched to ID, mobile now using 'Travel' line and can;t make calls

    I’ve recently switched from Sky to ID, porting my old number across. My switch happened today and all looks ok, except for the fact that when I look at the primary mobile service provider details on my iPhone (settings- mobile service - primary), it’s saying I have No Sim, and the line it’s now using is called ‘Travel’. If I try to make a call, the message says ‘last line no longer available. Do you want to call using your remaining line?’. Any help appreciated! Thanks

    my Son is travelling to America in September with the school, what plan would he need for the time he is away as we do not want expensive bills when he returns , or if he is in WIFI Area can he use whatsapp on message and phone and all is ok , or do we need to add a plan to his account thank you

    Travelling to Dubai

    Hello, I am travelling to Dubai in a week and just wondered if I can use my phone whilst I’m there without getting stung with any charges. I have looked on the FAQ page but can’t see Dubai Included on the countries that are included. Can someone please advise? It will mainly be being used for going on the internet but also making calls and going on WhatsApp, Snapchat etc Thankyou !

    Travelling in Turkey

    I can’t find Turkey on either of the ID roaming lists! Please can someone tell me the best and cheapest way for my daughter to use Internet/data on her phone whilst in Turkey. She will be there for two weeks. I would like to be able to keep in touch via What’s App and she needs to use Internet for work/study also.

    Take care when close to a country that is not covered in your plan! ## set your bill capping to zero ## I traveled to Southern Spain (roaming included) but on 1 day suddenly started to ‘use chargeable services whilst roaming’. I did not receive a message to say that I was connected to Morocco! (not included in the plan). I bought an add on for data guessing that this was the problem- but it was not. I only realised what had happened once I had my bill I was capped at £45 ? luckily I have just dealt with an agent and can not receive a refund for services that I have used! The main help given is to set bill capping to 0 when roaming- I wish I had known

    Unknown charge to my bill while travelling, live chat can’t help?

    Hi, I don’t plan on using my mobile while travelling unless connected to wifi - I travelled to Morocco, switched my phone on and got bombarded by texts from ID mobile saying I had used 80% of my spending cap, bear in mind I have roaming off. After an hour on live chat over WiFi, the agent said they can’t check what the charge is until 09/04, over a week after I return home? This is a time sensitive issue and no help is available. I don’t know or want the charge. If I have paid for some type of international use charge then I don’t even know what I can use since no one can help until after I return home. No email to contact anyone, I can’t use the customer phone number since I’m abroad? What’s the solution here?
