Just bought a new phone. Pixel 6a. First time with a 5G phone.I signed up to ID in 2019. 2 years before they launched 5G so I suspected I may have a 4G only SIM and might need a replacement.Sure enough I’m only getting 4G on my new phone. Coverage website says I should get 5G. There’s no setting on the phone - its 5G by default… so I should be getting 5G but I’m not.So as I’d seen on other postings, I started a live chat with ID support to ask for a replacement SIM.Explained why. And they said no. They said the replacement ‘will be exactly the same as your current SIM’ so I don’t need a replacement !!Is this correct? Were ID SIMs in 2019 already 5G enabled? 2 years before 5G launch ? 

Hi ID mobile community,I’ve unfortunately broken the back glass on my IPhone, but I’m still in contract until October 2023.  I have mobile phone insurance through my bank.  Unfortunately, the repair has been delayed and my bank is offering me a replacement device.  This means I need to give the broken iPhone to them in exchange.  Is this allowed?  If it is, what’s the process in ID Mobile to get this done?I look forward to hearing from you soon.Kind regards,Bal

Hi me again 🤦🏻‍♀️ Wanting to upgrade to Google 7pro but coming up as pre order for 20th April. If I upgrade now will my contact go up now or when I actually get the phone. Currently on a rolling 1 monthly contract so going from £8 to £33 don't want to be paying £33 for a month if I don't have the phone. As will also have to pay upfront cost too. Any advice appreciated  

7 days ago I ordered 2 sims as did the wife, Direct debits have been set up orders confirmed as complete but still no sims delivered?Tried the live chat got absolutely nowhere then called sales and got transferred to an automated service that was equally useless!Any ideas who and how to contact someone that can help track down our missing orders?

Hi I brought a new sim only 12 month contract last night (08/02/2023) and I saw in the small print about the April price increase. Will this price increase apply to me if I started my new contract after the 1st of February? My contract is £8 a month.

Why do we have to wait 6 months to upgrade? This is ridiculous. I've bought SIM with 1 month long contract to just check if I like it. I liked it, so I want to sign a long term contract getting a new phone. But I can't, I have to wait six months.  Meanwhile a new user, who is just switching from another provider, can sign a new contract right now. What's the point of this waiting time? Especially, it discourages from staying, since at this point I can just leave and sign a contract with another network.

My SIM card has stopped working out without warning. I’ve tried the troubleshooting steps which did not help at all.I received a new SIM card as I upgraded my plan about a month ago but there’s no instructions or guide stating that the new plan will only work on the new SIM so it’s been binned long ago.Please reinstate my existing SIM card ASAP! THe new plan has worked fine on the old SIM card until last night

Recently signed up with ID and ported across my previous number.  Bizarrely, some of my contacts are receiving calls and messages from my that show up as from the original, temporary ID number.  Have tried three times via Live Chat to resolve.  Have checked that my ported number is showing as attached to the SIM and rebooted.  It is only happening (so far) with a handful of contacts but is causing real probems as these people have replied to the temporary (now defunct) number, and of course I haven’t received the replies - this has caused major problems in some cases.I am now being told that a new SIM card will be sent out but I remain unconvinced that this will resolve the issue - as I said, my ported number is showing as the number attached to the SIM and most contacts are working fine with this number.  Anyone else had these issues, and more importantly, do you know how to resolve?Many thanks

I recently ported by number accross to ID mobile. This appeared to go smoothly but it later transpired that SMS messages are going from the number supplied with the SIM but calls are going from the correct number I ported accross from my old provider. ID mobile online chat support were useless and advised I call into Curry's who looked at me like I was stupid and advised that its nothing they can help with. Curry's did give me a number to call 449036946912 which I did but hung up immediately when it advised that it was a premium rate number. I have been billed £6.45 for this call which lasted a second. This is extortion and customer service and support is an utter joke. Does anyone know how I can resolve the two numbers issue and claim back my £6.45? Any help or advice gratefully appreciated. 

As a current and happy ID customer I can now upgrade and im looking for a sim only deal, the question is the deals on the website and the deals in the app differ, I'm assuming they are new customer deals as it let's me add to basket but then needs all my details etc and to perform credit checks etc. Surely as a current customer you already have details, such as banking, address etc, or do I  have to upgrade through app, thankyou in advance for any answers

I’d like to cancel my contract but don’t have the sim. I also never registered for an online account. The SIM wasn’t ever used only the mobile.

My phone won't let me call 0330 numbers. Is there a reason for this. Can it be amended please.

Hi, I wonder if you can confirm if you plan to ever provide a wifi service on the London Underground? I don't think it's acceptable to have no underground service. Most of the time it's the only information service available. I spend two hours a day on the tube - I honestly don't see myself staying with you, however cheap, if there are no plans to do this - we are supposed to get the 3 network, not selected bits of it. It actually feels unsafe, and is additionally stressful as I can't easily reroute my journey when the tube breaks down. 

When upgrading from your current phone to a new model, are you able to keep your current phone as a spare when the upgrade arrives or do you have to send the phone back? 

Hey!I lost my iPhone 11 last summer, I reported it to iD mobile and they sent me replacement SIM card. The phone itself is my own purchased outright from Apple (I have proof of purchase with all the relevant serials etc).The phone was returned to me a few months later after being found. When I put my SIM card in I get no coverage, I ran an IMEI check to discover the phone is reported Lost/Stolen, which makes sense.I’ve since spoke to iD on live chat and they’re saying that they did not alter anything with the IMEI as the phone is my own and not part of my contract.I’m bit confused as to how else my phone could’ve been blacklisted other than via a carrier.I’ve not found much online about help from Apple with this, but going to pop to the Apple store this weekend.Can anyone offer any other help or advice? I don’t know how else the IMEI could’ve been blocked, unless mistakenly by iD.Cheers!Jayson  

Hello, I have now asked not once, or twice but THREE TIMES to get my previously lost OnePlus 7 phone unblocked.The phone was originally lost in August 2022, I replaced it and reported it lost to ID who blocked it for me.(great!)It was then found and returned to me in September 2022 and around that time, I asked ID to unblock the phone via a web chat.As it was a spare handset, I didn’t even have a SIM in it so I assumed it was unblocked as requested. It turns out the phone is still blocked.I put a new PAYG ID SIM in it on Friday last week, the phone would not connect to the mobile network.I asked for the second time for the phone to be unblocked, via web chat - this was confirmed done no Friday and I was told it would be active “within an hour”.3 hours later, it’s still blocked.So I open another web chat, asking for the THIRD time and I was told that the first attempt last year got “cancelled” with no explanation or notification, the second attempt failed (no reason given and not notifi
