New Honor Smart 200 is laggy

Hi, I just ordered a new phone, and am new to idmobile. I had Honor 50 before which worked perfectly, but it was time to upgrade so I checked reviews and went for 200 smart. The camera takes over 5 seconds to load, another 3 to take the photo, some apps take over 5 seconds to open and some crash. I've obviously only just set it up so it shouldn't need a factory reset and storage definitely isn't the issue. I've just updated software and restarted, no improvement. Any other ideas please?

after my mobile number switching from Smarty to MobileID , i can make call and send SMS but I can't receive calls or receive SMS

this is a common issue it seems, number porting from Smarty to ID mobile wil ends up unable to receive text or sms. I switch to MobileID due to the pixel 8a phone contract , but now its been 2 months plus I can’t receive any call or sms.I have been to multiple chat support, replace sims, got told my case has been forwarded to technical team, confirm my number shows up on android is the correct one, until today still I can’t receive calls or sms. I am stuck especially those services needed one time sms passcode, poeple can’t contact me complaining my number not working and etc. Many topics and complains are related to Smarty switching to ID Mobile facing such an issue, if this is not a fixable issue, please tell me honestly , i want to take my number and switch to other provider, provided i can do it without PAC code since i can’t receive sms.if anyone has any solution, please let me know.By the way , i am still being charge and still paying the monthly payment even though i can’t receiv

Unable to receive calls or texts after porting from Smarty

Hi im looking for advice from anyone that has had similar issue please. I ported my sons number from Smarty to ID on Friday and since its ported he can’t receive calls or texts (working fine before) The message caller gets when they try call is the number is not recognised. He can make calls and send sms texts fine. This issue has only happened since his number ported. I've spent 2 days online chatting with agents checking settings etc, all are fine. I picked up new sim from curry's to try and the problem still persists. Even when I insert the replacement sim into his old handset it doesn't work but other sims work fine in both handsets so issue must be down to the port or network as I've ruled out sim issue, setting issues and handset. He cannot access banking apps as needs text verification and this is very frustrating. Even more frustrating is the fact that you cannot speak to anyone at Id mobile, all done through web chat. Any help or advise would be much appreciated

Well that's new. Smart Assistant on iD help pages

So earlier on the help pages were as they used to be. I’ve had no browser updates either. But at some point this evening Smart Assistant ‘popped up’😮 So I thought I simply search for 5G and: 5G 5G is a topic of discussion in various contexts within the provided documents. It appears that iD Mobile, a mobile network operator, offers 5G services, but the availability and quality of 5G coverage vary depending on the location and device used. Some users have reported issues with accessing 5G networks, even in areas where 5G is supposedly available. In some cases, users have been able to access 5G networks with their devices on other networks, but not on iD Mobile. The reasons for these issues are not always clear, but they may be related to the device used, the location, or the network configuration. iD Mobile provides a coverage checker tool on their website, which allows users to check the availability of 5G in their area. However, some users have reported that this tool is not always a

Moved from Smarty - why so terrible?

I ported my number from Smarty to ID on Monday. Today Thursday - what a mistake, four days virtually no service and calls dropping and barely audible if holding. Seem to permanently cycle between 4G and 5G. Also falling back to 3G. Data erratic. How can this be as they are both MVNOs on the same carrier and it is the same phone? do I need to write this off as a misadventure and ask for a PAC on day 4?

What is a Wi-Fi hotspot and how do I tether to other devices?

Contents: What is hotspotting or tethering? Can you create a personal hotspot on a Pay Monthly Plan? Can you create a personal hotspot on Pay as you Go? How do I set up a personal hotspot? Find out everything you need to know about hotspotting or tethering with iD Mobile. What is hotspotting or tethering? A mobile hotspot is not tied to a physical location, so it allows you to turn your smartphone into an internet router by using your mobile data while you’re on the go. This means you can connect other devices, such as a tablet or a laptop, to your mobile and access the internet on them. Any internet usage on your mobile or the connected devices comes out of your monthly data allowance. The main difference between hotspotting and tethering is that a hotspot connects one device to another to access the internet via a Wi-Fi connection. Tethering is linking a device to a smartphone through a USB cable, with the mobile then acting as a router to access the internet on the connected device.

No signal for second day in Exmouth

For the second day there is no mobile signal in my postcode in Exmouth. I've reported it. They say it's been escalated but still nothing. This is a bank holiday weekend so I doubt it will be fixed for days. I'll make a formal complaint. This is affecting all Three network users including idmobile, Smarty and Three.

    LTE Network

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 with LTE, these are the steps that they say to follow to activate the LTE To activate LTE on a Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, you'll need to pair the watch with a smartphone and then use the Galaxy Wearable app to activate the mobile network. The activation process usually involves scanning a QR code provided by your carrier or entering an activation code manually. The problem is that I get this when I try to activate, the service is my previous provider(Three). Can anyone advise to what to do next?

Cannot make calls and unable to view account details

My father acquired a new smart phone with ID mobile last year, having previously had a phone on the 3G network. Soon after acquiring the phone he realised he could not view his account details online as when he entered his details he just received a message saying his details weren't recognised (although this has not prevented ID mobile taking money from his bank account). He has written twice to ID Mobile about this, but has not received a reply despite the SLA of 7 days given on the website. On 30th December he was in the middle of a call when it was suddenly curtailed by a recorded message saying he had reached his capped limit. He does not believe he has a capped limit, but being unable to view his account details or discover his customer service pin is making it very difficult to receive any help. He has reported these issues via live chat, but once again he is asked for details which aren't being recognised, and so he feels he is constantly hitting a brick wall. He has, following

    Three throttling MVNO Networks

One of my friends is on Three network not a Three MVNO and I thought I would do some speed tests next to him. The issue is my speed on ID Mobile on 4G in my area is sometimes as low as 0.5mbps . This is the same for my Uncle up the street. My Friend on Three did a speed test outside my house and got - 22mbps down and 9.5mbps up . My test on ID Mobile was - 1.69mbps down and 6.54mbps up . We also did a test about half a mile up the road where he got 59mbps down and 16mbps up whilst I got 3.5mbps down and 18.4mbps up . I used to be on SMARTY network that is also a Three MVNO and got the same speeds as ID Mobile. I have in other areas though got speeds around 60mbps so it looks like Three customers are getting priority on the network when it is busy. The problem is the speeds are throttled that low that you wouldn’t be able to stream any video and sometimes you can barely load a website. This is quite unfair to be honest and needs looking into.
