My number has been cloned and I need to change it or cancel my contract as I do not feel my data is safe. I cannot for the life of me get ahold of anyone at ID mobile. Can someone help me please

Hello, tonight, I was sent an email that I believe is a scam, using your company’s details to request money. the account number they have used is the same as my mobile phone number. I haven’t been with ID mobile since May and was on a rolling pay monthly contract so have no outstanding charges as this email suggests. I can provide a screenshot of the email if need be

Hello.  I recently queried a bill with ID mobile and shortly after I received a phone call from a mobile number stating there was an issue with the SIM card (reason why my bill was high) and a new one will be posted, I was advised to cancel my direct debit and also offered an upgrade in contract/phone. The call knew I had queried my bill, knew my phone number and email address. I stupidly gave my bank details to them, however a phone and SIM card was sent to my address. I received another phone call stating the wrong phone had been sent and was asked to return it. However they had already taken a £26.53 ‘deposit’ , which would be deducted from my next bill. This has been reported to Action Fraud who I have just spoken with. They have advised me to contact you and report this as the phone call I received related to the question I asked ON THIS APP. How is this possible? According to Action Fraud either there is an untrustworthy employee or your systems have been hacked a

 Hi for some months now my numbers been spoofed, i did put a message on the answer advising of this and if they got a call from my number to ignore it, then i switched my phone to only call numbers in my contacts, which makes it a little awkward, ive turned off the recorded message advising my numbers been spoofed, thinking by using the call only contacts option would stop it, but today i got three calls from a Indian guy who wanted to talk about his bank account, so it appears after months they are still using my number, i tried to report to the Fraud Action Line but they say they don't deal with spoofed numbers, only if money is being taken from my account, they wouldn't supply a crime reference, So im going to need to change my number before someone gets scammed using the number i have currently

I just spoke to the live chat when upgrading my phone, they said they’d call me to finalise the upgrade and I did get called.Had to put in my bank details to the phone number 0800 049 0250, is this legitimate?

Hi, I keep getting calls from someone claiming to be from sales at ID mobile offering me a sim only deal for 100Gb a month for £6. Too good to be true? They sent me an email with a link to update my bank details as I said I wouldn’t give them over the phone.  The email address they used was mobile customers.co.uk.  Anyone come across this before? 

I was offered and agreed to an upgrade . Asked for Google 9A , was sent a Google 7A in a 9A box , I have returned the 7A , but now  ID  refuse to either process the return , or send the proper phone , major dispute now in place, I now have no phone , but  ID insist that I continue to pay new contract ,

I’ve several different mobile numbers ringing me telling me they are from ID mobile, one of which sent me an email verification code. Offered me an upgrade and took a deposit but sent the wrong phone. Also said they will wipe my bill of £49! as it was a sim error on they’re behalf. Can someone confirm a number for ID please

Hello I’m a victim of fraud, I have been sent a letter saying I need to pay your £29.99 and I have never made an account with ID MOBILE the account number is { REMOVED } this is not my account I don’t know how my name and address is on it. my phone number is { REMOVED } email is { REMOVED }My Crime reference number is NFRC250507380654 I can’t stress this enough this is not me and I can prove it is not as I never made a payment   

Hi I’ve recived a letter for my son saying he owes £89.98 for this company he doesn’t have a phone line I pay for it they said it’s from this company and owes this or they will take it to a debt agency can you help please as he doesn’t have a contract with this company I’ve reported this to the action fraud  [REDACTED] 

My mobile number was fraudulently ported to another network today. I reported it to ID mobile yesterday when I had a pac code sent to my phone. I was told the PAC code had been cancelled but it had not been and my number was ported today. I have been told it will take 48 hours to resolve if they are able to. In the meantime I have had to freeze bank accounts, cancel subscriptons and report it the police. I have also had a text saying I will be charged over £400 for cancelling my contract early! I am unable to log in to my work lap top due to the verification software on it that calls my mobile to verify it is me.

What form does credit take when trading in old phones? Is it cash or money off your bill or something else completely?

Reading in the newspaper at the weekend of people who have been scammed following successful attempts to take over their phone number. Can be called a SIM swap scam.Recommended is a preventative move ie to ask the phone provider to set up a ‘port-out PIN’. To be used whenever a port out is requested. IDMobile send a PAC code when a port out is requested, as do others, so I dont see that this is sufficient -  I want to prevent a pac code from being issued unless a specific port-out password is used to request it. IDMobile do not have such a port-out password. They do have what they call ‘extra security’. There does not seem to be a link to any info about it.  (from ‘live-chat’).Does anyone have any feedback on this, as to whether it is going in fact to add protection against SIM-swap scams.thanks for any info

My husbands account appears to have been hacked, he got an email around 5.30 advising a new sim has been issued He can no longer make or receive calls or texts He can no longer log into his account If he tries to raise it through the chat They send verification codes by text which are going to the number he has lost Someone did answer the number when called but was evasive No phone numbers work for id mobile after a certain time We even went into the store that the account was set up in and they can't do anything I have logged it as lost!stolen but this is extremely poor service that we can't get the account recovered outside working hours when there is fraudulent activity occurring
