Win a Google Pixel 10 Pro in our Made by Google recap!Blog
The Made by Google event has just wrapped up for another year, and what a show it was! The team in California has been busy, and as we expected, they showed off the brand-new Google Pixel 10 family. The big story this year is definitely all the clever AI features packed inside to make life that little bit easier. To celebrate, we're giving one lucky iD Community member the chance to win a Google Pixel 10 Pro! Stick with us as we run through the new gear, and we’ll tell you how to enter at the end. Google Pixel 10. First up is the Pixel 10. This is the new foundation of the range, and it’s packed with some great stuff for everyday use. The camera system gets a real boost this year. For the first time on the standard model, it now features a proper 5x telephoto lens – a big step up from the digital zoom on the Pixel 8. It means you can get those really crisp, close-up shots without having to move an inch. The AI inside is smarter too. A new feature called Magic Cue tries to guess what you need before you do, offering helpful shortcuts. Another clever touch is the new Camera Coach, which gives you little tips on-screen to help you line up the perfect photo. It’s all about helping you get the best shot without needing to be a pro. The whole experience is powered by the new Tensor G5 chip and feels super responsive. Check out the Google Pixel 10 here Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL. If you're serious about your phone photography, this is where things get really exciting. The Pixel 10 Pro and the larger Pro XL take the camera to another level. The zoom capability is where you see a massive difference; it has been pushed all the way to 100x, which is a huge leap forward from the 30x on the Pixel 8 Pro, letting you capture details from ridiculously far away. Video also gets some love with a feature called Video Boost, which helps you get super-steady footage, even when you’re moving about. The Pro models have an even brighter screen, making it much easier to see what you're doing on those rare sunny days here in the UK. They also have some exclusive AI tricks, like being able to create a short video clip just from a text description. Check out the Google Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL here. Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. And for those who want something a bit different, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is back with some key improvements. It’s a more refined and robust design this time around. A key improvement on the original Pixel Fold is that this new version is properly IP68 water and dust resistant, which is a welcome addition for peace of mind in daily use. It works just like before: a normal-sized phone on the outside that opens up into a lovely big 8-inch tablet screen. This makes it a real productivity tool, perfect for watching videos or getting a bit of work done with two apps running side-by-side. Available 9th October. And There’s More… Google also showed off the new Pixel Watch 4. The screen is bigger and much brighter, and the battery life has had a welcome boost, so you'll spend less time charging it. It's more than just a watch; it's a proper health and fitness companion, with deep Fitbit integration and new safety features. And finally, for music lovers, they announced the Pixel Buds 2a. The big news here is that Active Noise Cancellation has finally come to the more affordable A-series earbuds. This is a real game-changer for commuting or working in a busy café, letting you properly immerse yourself in your music or podcasts. Win a Google Pixel 10 Pro! Now for the exciting part. To be in with a chance of winning a Google Pixel 10 Pro, simply reply to this article with your answer to the following question: Why would you like to win a Pixel 10 Pro? We’ll randomly select one winner from the replies. Entries close at 23:59 on 15th September 2025, and we'll announce the lucky iD Community winner shortly after. We’ll notify the winner by direct message here on the Community, so please keep an eye on your inbox. Good luck!

6 months and no gift card still
After countless emails back and forth with the gift cloud team we are still outstanding one of two gift vouchers due after 2 family members signed up for ID mobile SIM cards. Last week (end August) one of the vouchers finally arrived (we signed up on 11 March) and since then the gift cloud team are not replying to our messages. How can one of the vouchers be finally sorted and the other not? We have supplied all the relevant information required for both. To reiterate: we are still outstanding a second gift voucher as per the terms and conditions of the purchase we made back in March of this year, over 5 months ago. Please can someone sort this ASAP? This is not endearing us to stay with ID mobile. We shouldn't have to spend this much time waiting for what we signed up for. Thank you

Our step-by-step guide for when your phone is lost or stolen.Blog
Losing your phone feels like losing your lifeline. But knowing what to do next can make a massive difference. Whether it’s slipped out of your pocket on the bus or been swiped from a table at a café, the panic is real. Don’t worry though. There are clear steps you can take to protect your data, stop your phone being misused and get back up and running as fast as possible. Lock and locate your device immediately. The first thing to do is to track your phone. Both Apple and Android devices come with built-in tools that’ll help you locate, lock or even erase your phone remotely. If you’re using an iPhone, head to Find My iPhone. For Android users, Find My Device is your go-to. These features let you see your phone’s location on a map, lock it down and display a message on screen – like a contact number or ‘this phone is lost’. If things look serious you could also wipe your data remotely to protect your privacy. If you didn’t have location tracking turned on, don’t panic. You can still secure your accounts and contact your network provider. And for the future, make sure you switch these features on and keep your location services enabled too. You’ll appreciate it later on if something bad happens. Report the loss to iD Mobile. Once you’ve tried to locate your phone, your next move is to secure your SIM card with us. This is a crucial step. By suspending your SIM, you instantly block anyone from making calls, sending texts, or using your data. It’s the single best way to protect yourself from unexpected charges, especially if you think your phone has been stolen. We can also get a replacement SIM sent out to you, and don’t worry – you’ll keep your existing number, making it much easier to get back online. The quickest and simplest way to do all of this is through the iD Mobile app. Acting fast here will minimise any disruption and keep your account secure while you take the next steps. Report the theft to the police. If you’re confident your phone was stolen, you need to report it to the police. You’ll be given a crime reference number – which might be needed later for any insurance claims or if your network provider asks for proof of theft. You can usually file a report online or by calling 101, the non-emergency police number. Even if you’re not sure whether it was stolen or just lost, reporting it can be helpful. Especially if you find out fraudulent activity has been linked to your device. Secure your online accounts. Your phone is more than just a gadget. Most of us have our whole digital life on there. That’s why it’s crucial to secure your online accounts as soon as possible. Start by changing the passwords on your email, banking apps, social media, and any other sites or services you use on the reg. Switch on two-factor authentication (2FA) when you can as well. This adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a second form of verification, like a code sent to your email or another device. If your phone supports biometric login (like fingerprint or face recognition), that’s great – but don’t rely on it alone. Oh, and avoid reusing passwords too. If someone guesses it, they could get access to all your other accounts too! Check your insurance or protection plan. If you’ve got phone insurance, now’s the time to dig out the details. You might also be covered through your bank, network provider, or the retailer where you bought your phone – like Currys. Check what’s included in your policy too. Does it cover theft, loss or accidental damage? What’s the process like for making a claim? It’s all worth finding out. You’ll likely need your crime reference number and proof of purchase, so get those docs together early. If you’re not covered, think about getting protection for the future. It can save you a lot of stress – and money – if something goes wrong again. Prevent future issues. Once you’ve dealt with the immediate situation, you’ll want to take some steps to protect yourself going forward. Start by using biometric security features like fingerprint or face recognition and make sure your PIN is strong and not easy to guess. It almost goes without saying, but don’t use 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or your birthday! Avoid storing sensitive info, like banking details or passwords, in plain text on your phone’s notes app. Instead, use secure apps or password managers. And keep a record of your phone’s IMEI number (you’ll find it on the box or in your device settings), as this’ll help with tracking and reporting. Finally, don’t forget to back up your data regularly to the cloud. That way, you can restore it easily if your phone gets lost again. Restore and reconnect. Once you’ve secured your accounts and sorted your SIM, it’s time to get back online. Order a replacement SIM or device through iD Mobile and restore any important data from your cloud backups. Whether you use Google Drive or iCloud, having your photos, contacts and apps backed up means you won’t lose everything. Then reinstall your apps, log back in securely and take a few minutes to go over your security settings. If you need some help, head to the iD Mobile Help Hub – it’s packed with handy guides and support. Have your own tips or stories to share? Drop them in the comments down below!

Incorrect service provider shown in settings.
If I go into my phone settings my phone service provider is still showing as my previous provider which was O2. I have been with Id mobile for 14 days now and thought it would have changed to Id by now. I have restarted the phone several times and reinserted the sim card but no change. Will my phone be running at its best like this on on settings? Thanks if anyone can help clarify this please

Calls failing to go to Voicemail
Has anyone else got an issue with calls not going to Voicemail? I first identified this issue yesterday (02.09.25). When calling an iD Mobile number, it rings but instead of going to Voicemail, it just times out and says 'Sorry your call cannot be connected'. I have tried this on 6 different iD Mobile phone numbers (as all of my family are on the same network), so it's not a problem with just 1 number. Also the phones are in various different UK locations (Filey, Skipton and Huddersfield) and all have the same issue. I went on chat last night and was told it was network congestion that would clear at 23:59 but it hasn't as the same thing is still happening now at 19:15. Any idea how you report a fault to iD? Interestingly, trying to call a number where the phone is switched off, it DOES go to voicemail....

Issues with Oukitel WP100 Titan and WiFi Calling - when using SIM2, same issue with Oukitel P1 phones
Hi iD Mobile Community, I have recently bought a rather fantastic Oukitel WP100 Titan mobile phone for me - and an Oukitel P1 for my wife. They both seem like great handsets and run Android 14 - but I see that they are not on the ‘approved’ Wi-Fi calling-compatible handset list. Whoops. Both of the above phones have 4G and VoLTE calling capabilities but my wife and I have been really struggling to get our new Oukitel handsets to make Wi-Fi calls - something that is quite essential here, because we are a bit remote! The Oukitel WP100 Titan is a breast of a handset (projector, camping light, 33,000mAh battery, night vision etc) and it would be great if I could get it to work using iD mobile. The iD SIM is currently in SIM 2 for the Titan as I have to use SIM 1 for my work number (no choice - on EE), and that seems to work (and will make use of Wi-Fi Calling). My wife’s P1 - the iD SIM is in SIM 1, same issue. Both of us can receive text messages fairly easily from iD and both of the handsets display ‘VoLTE 4G’ in the notification bar. Our signal strength is circa -115dB (according to Network Cell Info App). I have set the calling preference to ‘Call over mobile network’ at the moment. if I change this preference to ‘Call over Wi-Fi’, the handset doesn’t seem to use the (strong) local Wi-Fi for Wi-Fi calling :-( The normal mobile network signal is often weak enough that we can’t make or receive calls indoors, which is a pain. Wi-Fi calling on previous handsets worked a treat and is what we ideally would like again - if possible. Any help or recommendations gratefully received - thanks in advance. Andrew

No "WiFi Calling" on Samsung S24 Plus using an eSim
Hi. I recently switched to a 12 month ID Mobile from Vodafone and opted for an eSim in my Samsung S24Plus phone (purchased from Samsung directly). However, I no longer have the option of “WiFi Calling” in the Connections menu. I have followed numerous suggestions. Has anyone else had this issue and found a way to get the enable “WiFi Calling” toggle switch in the connections settings to become available? Thanks

where to find monthly device charge
I cannot for the life of me see how much I owe for my phone. I am switching to a sim only plan from a monthly contract plan next month and have just upgraded (to a 2 year sim only plan). I wanted to know what my balance remaining for the actual phone/device is; however, all my bills combine the line rental with the cost of the actual phone. Is there any way of finding out the separated amounts? Thanks

Replacement sim but keep my number
Got a replacement sim, activated replacement sim put it in new phone but my phone number isn’t receiving or making phone calls. I’m staying on the same plan and wanted to keep my original phone number, I thought a replacement sim would just replace the one I lost and allow me to keep my number. I don’t know what to try next? TIA

Roaming not working in Turkey
Both myself and my mum bought the 5 day add on so we can use data while we are on holiday in Turkey, but neither of us are able to actually access the Internet with the exception of hotel WiFi. We have 4g and full bars and have tried everything suggested on the Web page to fix it such as restarting the phone and manually selecting providers but nothing has helped. We need to be able to use maps and websites while out and about so how can we resolve this issue?
