New to ID, Cannot make or receive calls
I’ve switched two numbers over to ID and got a new ID SIM for my daughter (who previously did not have a phone).Data & texts are fine on all three.. however, calling is an issue. I cannot make outgoing calls, nor receive them across all three devices.I’ve got a work phone which has successfully made calls to one of the three new numbers, but it is not consistent, and usually fails. Calls from all three numbers cannot be made on my work phone, or in-between each other. The support chat-bot just sends me round in circles regarding the 3G switch off and sending me to a support page which has a number of steps to make this work,… but it doesn’t. Does anyone know how to get this working or should I be very thankful I’m in a one month contract?

changing from phone contract to sim only end of contract
If I click on one of the sim only upgrades in the last 30 days of phone contract does that cancel the existing contract at end of period and automatically start the sim only on that date? Or should I cancel current one first then buy the sim only deal

unable to call whilst roaming
I have used my phone successfully twice in Europe this year. My phone is enabled to roam and no settings have been changed. I am in Southern Italy and am unable to make calls. In my Roaming "SIM settings" it says my "Mobile Network Service" is disconnected. Why is this? My wife is with IDmobile and has exactly the same issue also, so it is not an isolated issue. What is the cause?

Number change mid contract.
Hi! I'm currently with talkmobile with about 8 months left on my contract, unfortunately I have lost my phone recently and I want to get a phone on contract with ID. My question is: can port my number after my current contract finishes in January so I could pay off remaining balance in monthly instalments or do I have to port my number as soon as I get the new phone meaning I'll have to pay for what's left on my current contract upright?

How to boost your mood and win big this World Laughter Day!Blog
Laughter is honestly the best medicine. After all, it’s a simple way to boost your mood and is proven to be a powerful stress reliever. Don’t just take our word for it either. An article by the British Heart Foundation explains how laughing helps release endorphins – otherwise known as feel-good hormones. Just a few minutes of mirth can increase the oxygen you take in, lower your heart rate and blood pressure, and help your muscles relax. You can’t argue with that. And now there’s even more reason to smile… To celebrate World Laughter Day (on May 4, 2025), we’re giving away a pair of Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Bluetooth Noise-Cancelling Headphones! Whether you’re giggling at your favourite podcast, chuckling over a video call, or just enjoying the peace and quiet between laughs, these headphones are perfect for turning up the joy. So, if it’s a quick grin or a full-on belly laugh you’re after, here are a few ideas that are bound to give you a giggle – and don’t forget to enter the giveaway while you’re at it! Video calling friends & family. This one’s probably the simplest on our list. But it’s arguably the best too. Catching up on a video call with friends and family can always lead to unexpected, spontaneous laughs. Especially when you’re sharing stories and humorous situations from the last few weeks that they might have missed. Grandad’s always fancied himself as a bit of a comedian. And those corny jokes of his always get a groan or two… You can always try using fun filters as well. Give yourself a funny hat. Make yourself look absolutely ancient. Change the background so you’re on the moon. The options are almost endless now. Most phones (and apps) have at least a few kooky effects you can play about with while you chat. And they’ll definitely make your convo a lot livelier and more enjoyable. So, download FaceTime or Zoom and see what they’ve got to offer. TikTok & Instagram reels. Platforms like Insta and TikTok are absolutely stuffed with funny content. From viral challenges to creative skits, there’s always something there that’ll have you howling. If you fancy it (and don’t mind embarrassing yourself a bit), you could always get involved with a few trending challenges yourself. And if your sitcom skills are on point, you can also make your own sketches and share them with the community or the group chat. Who knows, maybe you’ll go viral yourself. Need some more ideas? Dance challenges are all the rage, especially on TikTok. Pop on your favourite playlist and get your groove on. It doesn’t matter if you move like your uncle after a few drinks at a wedding either. At the end of the day, it’s all about having fun and putting a smile on your – and everyone else’s – face. Make sure to tag your mates and get them involved as well. The more people that take part, the more laughter there’ll be. YouTube & podcasts. Podcasts and YouTube videos are full of moments that’ll have you in stitches. There are countless comedy channels and stand-up routines out there that can brighten your day. And they’re not just from established comedians that you’ve seen loads on the telly. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find shows and clips from brilliant up and comers that’ll be selling out the O2 before you know it. Found a few favourites? You could create a playlist of the best funny vids you’ve found so far. Then when you need a quick pick me up, you’ve got them all in one place, ready to go. Or you could always subscribe to a few comedy pods on your go-to streaming platform. There’s absolutely loads to choose from. Queue one up for your morning commute, and it’ll make that grey Monday morning a lot less gloomy. If you’re anything like us, you’ll probably be sat there struggling to keep a straight face. Laughter’s contagious though – so it might not be the worst thing to cheer up the rest of the carriage! Remember, a laugh a day keeps the stress away. And it doesn’t cost a thing either. So, whether it’s a video call with the folks, a silly TikTok challenge, or a hilarious podcast, there’s loads of ways to bring more laughter into your life. And remember, that goes for every day of the week too. Not just World Laughter Day! Giveaway time! Got a favourite joke, podcast or video that always makes you grin? Tell us about it in the comments down below for a chance to win a pair of Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Bluetooth Noise-Cancelling Headphones! The winner will be picked at random, so keep an eye on your inbox or DMs for a message from us. But hurry – the competition closes on 16th May at 23:59!

Permanent Roaming Issue
Just had a very frustrating conversation with a customer services agent through chat. My issue is that the rotation of my job takes me out of the UK for 21 days (within the EU) and then back in the UK for 21 days between the months of March to November. A total of 147 days out of the country in a non-continuous run. This seems to put me in the ‘Permanent Roaming’ category. Infuriating as it is far from permanent. To get around this it seems I will need to cancel and re-sign up to a pay monthly sim every couple of months. Does anybody have any better suggestions or has had any experience with the permanent roaming clause? I have used local sims for many years and ultimately I just want one provider who can facilitate EU roaming without charging me through the roof. ID Mobile seemed to be that provider at first but now it seems it’s just as much hassle.

Normal Text Messages and Data Usage
Hi I switched from 3 to ID mobile a couple months ago and have a couple issues - I wondered if anyone else has had the same. The first is that there seems to be an issue with my normal text messages (not WhatsApp). If I try to send one it says message could not be delivered but in fact it seems like that are getting to the person so I don’t know why it says they arent. Also I tested by texting my wife and for some reason it arrives under a different phone number (I think it is the one ID Mobile gave me, but I brought my old number across from 3). The second is a concern over data usage. When I log in to the ID mobile app it says 85.5GB / 50GB which suggests to me my limit is 50GB but somehow I’ve used an extra 35.5GB? Which presumably I’ll be charged for?! Thanks!

Porting my current number six months into a contract (a different contract)
Hi, I’m wondering if it’s possible to port my existing and in use number to a new contract in six months time? I know this can be read and understood in a few ways so let me try to explain below: I am an ID customer with a contract ending in six months time. Lets call this ‘contract A’ I want to change my phone as I’m a little fed up with what I have at the moment. I’ve seen a suitable deal that I want to take out, also with ID mobile. I’ll call this ‘contract B’ My plan is to take out contract B with it’s new handset, but still use my sim from contract A. In six months time, when contract A comes to an end, I’d like to port my number to contract B. I’m aware I’ll have to port to another network first before porting back to ID. Is this possible or is there a time limit from when the new contract starts to be able to port?

No data in Keswick area
I have noticed over the past few months that although there is a good phone signal in the Keswick area there is no data (claims to be 4G). This appears to be whether you are on the north side or centre, you only get data when you get to the top of Nest Brow when you pick up the signal from Penrith.

Overcharged and poor signal
We have 6 months left on x2 ID mobile contracts and are wanting to end Early fee free. Can you please give advice on this? The issues are as follows.. 1. The three network has become highly congested in the last month or 2. Our ID, three and smarty contacts are all suffering the exact same issues of showing signal bars but unable to use data/calls in certain areas where it used to work fine before. Please note, this is 5 different phones, 2 three contacts, 2 id mobile contracts, 1 smarty contact ALL experiencing this issue. So it's not phone or setting related. 2. Both ID contracts my kids use are unable to get connection in their school and outside their school and also, lucky to get a connection if they are travelling to and from school. This is a safety concern for us as parents. 3. Our contracts have had an increase from April when we should not be getting an increase as we took the contacts out before January 2025. So we would like to request to end early fee free due to the diminished service and overcharging. It is important our kids stay connected with us.

Currys Gift Card Not activated
Hello, I have received a Currys gift card with my SIM which should have £50 but it is not activated. I cannot use it at Currys and the balance checker says “something has gone wrong”. I can see this is a common problem for other IDMobile customers. Please can this be resolved. Thanks
